How to get found on Google in Erbil.

The bar in Erbil is low. In TRUQ's July 2026 study of 350 Erbil businesses, only 29% had claimed their Google listing and only 11% had a real website. Step 1: Claim your Google Business Profile
Claiming your listing is free and takes minutes at google.com/business. This one step already beats 71% of the Erbil businesses in our sample, because they have not done it. An unclaimed listing shows whatever Google guesses: wrong hours, old phone numbers, no photos. A claimed one shows what you decide.
Step 2: Complete every field
Fill in every field: exact category, opening hours, phone, photos, and the correct location pin. Listings with complete information answer the three questions every searcher asks: is it open, where is it, and how do I contact it. Incomplete listings lose the customer to the next result.
Step 3: Link a real website on your own domain
Link a website you own, not a Facebook page. In our sample, 8% of businesses put a social link in the website field, and it does them little good: a profile cannot rank for searches and shows almost nothing to people who are not logged in. Step 4: Collect reviews every week
Reviews are the strongest trust signal a local listing has. Ask every happy customer for one, make it easy with a direct link, and reply to all of them, including the bad ones. A steady flow of recent reviews beats a big pile of old ones.

Your business name, phone number and hours must match exactly on your website, your Google listing and your social bios. Mismatched details make Google trust all of them less. Pick one spelling of your name and use it everywhere.
